Laptop Addiction

Laptop addiction is a strange thing. i have at last mananged to prise my dad off the laptop for five minutes to write this blog, and he has only asked for it back once so far.

Today I was priviledged to go on a Maths Master class. Imagine wall to wall geeks and toffs. Weedy bodies due to prolonged sports lesson dodging and, as the professor appeared, the sychronised appearance of spectacles from carrier bags. As I adjusted my own byfocals the girl next to me came into sharp focus for the first time. 'Your specs are unusual' I commented in best Essex. 'They are not real' she said in pure toff, demonstrating the lack of lenses by waggling her finger through an eyehole 'but I wanted to blend in'. I was impressed by this foresight.

The lecture started ominously. 'My laptop isn't working and I've connected it to the mains hours ago' said the lecturer. Someone pointed out that indeed the charger was in his laptop but unfortunately the plug was not attached to the power socket. We swapped cerebal glances, this was going to be a long lecture.
